6.1 How do I create a transparent material? First go the material buttons. In the middle you will find a button labeld ZTansp. This buttons controls the transparency of the material. The slider Alpha controls the level of transparency. 6.2 How do I create a reflecting material? Blender supports texture mapping with pre-calculated (spherical) reflection images. For best results, set the MaterialButtons->Nor 'mapping' option. An example of a spherical reflection image is in the tutor1.0 download file. Add a new texture and load your bump map as an image. Now switch back to the material buttons. On the top right you can see many little green buttons. Disable the Col button and enable the Nor button. The slider labled 'nor' below controls the level of bump mapping. 6.4 I want to have fog. How can I do this? Make a new 'World' (press F8, press the small square menu-button) and adjust the "Mist" values. |
